Yay, it’s Very Hungry Caterpillar Day again!

Eric Carle’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” was published on March, 20^th 1969 and for the last four years, March 20^th has been celebrated as Very Hungry Caterpillar Day!

We’re pretty sure you can see how much we love “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” here at Mudpuppy!

Eating our way through apples, oranges, pears and plums seems like an appropriate celebration. With a cupcake and ice cream cone thrown in of course!

Paris

 

It’s a cold, rainy day here in New York City. So why not take a trip to Paris; in our minds, and through our stomachs!

Jillian Phillips has illustrated some of our Galison Paris products, like the Book of Labels and Mini Sticky Notes,

and the, oh so creative, Marian of Sweetopia made those beautiful designs into cookies!

Who knew you could take stationery and make it edible? And the cookies are so beautiful that we almost wouldn’t want to eat them…..almost!

Thanks to Jillian and Marian, both very talented and a great team. It was a much needed trip to Paris and great inspiration!

Galison/Mudpuppy Holiday Party

 

The annual Galison/Mudpuppy holiday party took place last week.

We celebrated the approaching holiday season with a get together at our New York offices. Everyone chipped in and brought a dish to share. And there was a little champagne, and, the ever festive, egg nog too!

The office had a blast taking a little break and enjoying the creations brought in, to kick off the season.

Galison Discovers Korea's Delicious Secret

 

 

Some say that there is no such thing as a free lunch, but the Galison/Mudpuppy team found out differently yesterday.

Kim, from our marketing department, entered for a chance to win a free catered lunch for our whole office; and she won!

Our office received a delicious lunch courtesy of Taste of Korea NYC. Taste of Korea NYC was launched to "promote Korean cuisine and local Korean restaurants in New York City." They are striving to get more poeple to try and experience Korean food.

You can find out everything you need to know about Korean ingredients, recipes and culinary traditions on Taste of Korea's Facebook page or website. And if you weren't already enticed, for every entry they recieve in the "Free Lunch Sweepstakes" $1 will be donated to Action Againt Hunger.

Thanks Taste of Korea NYC for the tasty lunch and of course Kim for entering. Everything was delicious and Korean food is now at the top of our "must eat more" list!

Speaking of Thanksgiving Dinner: Mary Woodin Kitchen Sticky Notes

Thanksgiving's approach inspired me to have a look at the healthy,  nourishing food-themed gifts in Galison's Home & Style Kitchen Collection.

Here's one of my favorites: -- a special extra-large portfolio of Kitchen Sticky Notes.

British artist Mary Woodin illustrated these healthy vegetables.  They make me want to head out to the nearest green market!
